Our Technology
Cone Beam 3-D Imaging
At our office, we have medical-grade cone beam imaging capable of acquiring a 3-dimensional scan of your jaw bones. Our board-certified periodontists then view that data in a powerful, state-of-the-art software that allows Dr. Ha, Dr. Oliver or Dr. Casarez-Quintana to virtually place the implant. Through a virtual implant planning process, we are able to anticipate specific needs in advance, such as bone grafting while avoiding vital structures like nerves and blood vessels.
PRF & Other Growth Factors
When large bone defects need to be treated, we utilize an array of biomaterials and growth factors designed specifically for growing bone. These include naturally occurring bone-growing proteins, special gels which contains a variety of healing proteins, and even healing cells extracted from the patient's own blood. These growth factors allow the body to effectively grow more bone and speed up healing.

A History of Excellence
Our practice was founded by Dr. Robert L. Machen over 20 years ago and was originally located on Ben White by St. David’s hospital. As the practice grew rapidly due to Dr. Machen’s great reputation for patient care, the practice eventually moved to the current location nearly 10 years ago.
After decades of service to the dental community and to the patients of this area, Dr. Machen transferred his practice to the care of Dr. Ha. Sharing the same education and training, philosophy, and standard of patient care, Dr. Machen had no hesitation in handing over the care of all his patients to Dr. Ha in 2018.
